Occupational therapists help adults and children achieve independence in all areas of their lives. OT can address a diversity of problems and skills sets. For instance, hand writing, activities of daily living, sensory processing, and more.
The following are a some of the treatment methods used by occupational therapists:
Our expansive clinic is equipped with several areas for our patients to address skills in independence with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Such areas include a full size kitchen, specialized continence training bathrooms, laundry room, and a fruit and vegetable garden. Many of our patients are able to address clinical goals to increase their independence by learning how to use the equipment on site for meal preparation, sequential task completion, continence independence, caring for, and harvesting plants in the garden, among many other opportunities that our clinic has to offer to increase the social significance of each POC.
Occupational therapists can play an integral role in an individual’s treatment plan. At Bloom, all therapists collaborate in the development of patient goals to ensure the most comprehensive approach to client care. Bloom has been an answer to our prayers. Our lives have been greatly improving. I can't wait to see how much more my daughter improves over summer camp. The more "bloom" we get the better we feel.
Bloom is an amazing place for children! I love it!
These are by far the best therapists I have ever met. I am amazed at the doors they have opened for my son! Thank you, Bloom!
On our first visit here my daughter instantly clicked and bonded with the staff which is very rare for her to do so with strangers. It's just so warm and inviting here and we feel comfortable here. So glad that we chose to come to Bloom! Staff is attentive, thorough, caring, and overall wonderful.
